Here are the Part numbers required:

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD id=00></TD><TD id=01>SHIFT LEVER</TD><TD id=00 style="PADDING-RIGHT: 3px; PADDING-LEFT: 3px"></TD><TD id=01></TD><TD id=00></TD><TD id=01></TD><TD id=00 noWrap>25111434148</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Washers for bottom of gear lever to selector rod - 25111220439 - 2 required

Circlip for gear lever to selector rod - 25111220379

Brearing for pivot ball - 25111220600

These are the parts required if you intend only to do the shifter.

If you want to overhaul the whole lot check out the below diagram and you can change everything else:

Would you advise that it would be a good idea to change all. Also is this mod ok for a LHD car?

Im doing this next week. BMWTIPS.com has a write up in the tips/tricks section of how to install a new shifter on an e39. Im assuming its pretty similar on the e34 correct?
