shot with a wide angle fisheye lens, a steady hand, and quite a bit of expericene of shooting handheld public panos, these moving people make your life a hell :)

I used a peice of software called ptgui - www.ptgui.com to stitch together the images, then create a panorama from the image using panocube, a small bit of freeware.

Panoramas are really fun, and hopefully will be the cause of my beast ownership should one or two ventures in the field pay off - untill then it's baked beans on stale bread though :D

Stuart mate, nice work! Gonna try that with my cam in my street to try and get the hang of it. It pretty aamzing how you managed to get the monuments in aswell.

Was there a point you had to go back to take a few more shots, if there was a gap or something?

Hi guys,

Glad you like it, but I must confess to it being one of the most ropey VR's I have shot - we were, uhum, how you say?? innebriated, and in a rush to go play poker :happybirt

these shot by my business partner show the technology better I think, the gumball shot was a bit of fun I stitched the same evening to get it online whilst interest was still there.

Semmence, its not something easily doable with a normal camera, you need an extreme wide angle lens to make it possible without a ton of work - I shoot with a wideangle fisheye lens, so only need 8 shots for the entire scene, around, floor, sky.

Hopefully I'll take some cool shots in my M5 at one point, just gotta save the pennies first though :grrrrr:
