Does anyone have any thoughts on the best wax to use? I have used Meguire's in the past and have been happy. A few months ago i noticed a discussion on a wax called Zymol on the old board. Now that i have received my M5, i want the best protection and look that is available. Your input is greatly appreciated! Thanking you in advance...

I've been using Zymol for years. It is made in CT where I live & my chapter of BMW CCA has been to the factory many times. It is very small. If you use Zymol use one of the better grades such as Destiny or better yet Vintage. They basically have higher % of carnauba wax in them. My experience is that they hold up better, longer, & look better. Make sure you follow the application directions, ie. apply with your bare hands. These waxes are used on cars that win Pebble Beach Concours. Zymol pretty much got its start thru the Bmw Club. Gary

If you can get your hands on the 3M Imperial Hand Glaze..go for it. It's amazing when it comes to taking scratches off your car.
Thumbs up for Zymol. I had Red 89 M3, a hard color to keep clean. Zymol worked very, very well. It took some work, but the car was absolutely incredible when finished. My M5 came from the dealer with "ResistAll" applied. It is made in Texas and is supposed to protect the clearcoat with a Teflon coating. It is used sparingly and keeps the Jet Black paint looking "wet". I do not know how long the application will last, but the dealer said 6 to 12 months depending on the washings. It came with a complete kit of wax, window cleaner, soap, leather cleaner/protector and a few other things. Has anyone else heard of this wax?
