Thought you guys would enjoy this.

This vented hood helps dissipate the heat from under the engine bay. It just seemed apropos to make a pun about "Heat" and Kevlar.

Enjoy!

Wished Vorsteiner would make a hood with just the bulb sans the vents.
I just wish the hood fit more snuggly, I am going through the process of getting a stroker and thinking of reducing weight and would love a carbon fiber hood and trunk (along with light weight wheels) but the fitment issues I have seen in most cases prevent me from going forward.
I also wished Vorsteiner would make a CF roof spoiler to go with their trunk spoiler. :)
Looks amaaaaaaazzzing!! Love it and thanks for sharing. I'm still skeptical regarding how the hood could prevent water from entering the vent when it's open. Regarding fitting issue, it seems to be the best you can get out there and it varies from batch to batch? I've read that it fits well so I guess installation plays an important role too.
educate me please.

what are the benefits of kevlar vs carbon fiber?
Looks great. How is the fit? Most of the carbon hoods I've seen never seem to fit well and have large gaps even with the hood closed.
Now thats quality!

Carbon Kevlar is a bit denser than straight Carbon weave but there is not a huge structural difference. It is mainly for aesthetics in this case.

Fit and finish is solid for these hoods, Vorsteiner is known for this.

They are better than other aftermarket hoods but everyone that I know that has one of these have had some slight fitment issues.
