I would like everyone's opinions on a dilemna I am having. I recently bought an Alpina B12 5.0 'clone' from Japan. Let me explain... BMW Japan had a promotional thing at one point where someone could get an Alpina looking B12 5.0 in a stock BMW 850. What they did was put on the Alpina badging, Alpina 18" wheels, Alpina front valence and an Alpina steering wheel.
My plan was to pilfer the 18" wheels and put them on my Biturbo, so I could have even more aggressive cornering capabilities (I find with my car that the wheels are the limiting factor).
so, I had this plan in mind when a guy saw the car and wanted to buy the wheels. His proposal was that he would swap his MK Motorsports MK1 wheels for mine plus some money. The MKs have always bee a favorite of mine. So, I am now at a crossroads.
I would appreciate everyone's opinion. The main thing I wanted to achieve was to install 18" wheels on my BT. So, either way I am getting that. Question is, will ruining the Alpina aesthetic bother me? Here are some pics. First the 'clone'; then a pic of an E34 I found with MKs on it; then my car.
