2 owner enthusiast owned 2001 M5, no accidents, never tracked, always garaged, detailed weekly, regularly driven, (primarily highway miles) and meticulously maintained by BMW Motorsport technicians. Extensive list of AC Schnitzer, Dinan, and related motorsport modifications. The rich black nappa leather interior contrasts beautifully against the dark accent tones of the dashboard and door panels which feature black leather and finely polished burl wood trim. There are no rips, tears, or stains in any of the upholstery. The headliner and rear deck are upholstered in black alcantara, and show nicely with zero flaws. The thick German velour carpeting is clean, and shows no wear. The trunk is clean and features a parcel net, full size spare tire, and the complete BMW tool kit.

The exterior of this M5 is in excellent condition as well. The paint is extremely rich, glossy, clean and smooth. The body is straight and parking-lot ding free. Exterior mouldings are rich and dark, all emblems are intact, and the quad AC Schnitzer tail pipes are polished and shiny. The 3-piece wheels show minor curbing, but are otherwise in excellent shape. There are two areas on the exterior that show wear. 1 scuff on the front right spoiler and 1 small scratch on the middle of the rear bumper. The front valence and hood show wear consistent with the low mileage of this car.

Overall this is a very clean car, and while not 100% cosmetically perfect, is still extremely clean, straight, and has been represented by many as one of the finest examples of the Model…sure to please even the most discriminating driver.

Not trying to be a buzzkill but......Edmunds shows private party value at $13,500 and if you get .20 on the dollar for all of the add ons it adds $9296 totaling $22,796. I'll call it $23k.

A '03 M5 with 15k on the clock with full Dinan S3 kit and some others things like a CF hood,BB kit,racing harness's sold for the low $40k.

You would come out way ahead if you part it all out.

Most of the stock cars of the same year are selling in the 19-22K range. I had a reseller offer me 26 and stated he would plan to get 35k. The car is in immaculate condition and the right buyer will luck out and pick up a fabulous car.:wroom:

Going be a long wait for that pool of buyers. Ain't no way $35k is going to happen for a car with near 70k on the clock.....Just sayin and would bet big money on that for sure. Again, not trying to be a party pooper but nothing has sold for that kind of dough.

Seems like you have a great buyer for the car in this economy. Car is personalized to your tastes, so its going to be a tough and long sale. You would have to find someone with your exact tastes to even get close to that kind of money.

A 35k car needs to be supercharged with all the goodies (brakes suspension), with real high dollar parts. Not body kit stuff. Not some of the Dinan stuff, all of it. Or, a extremely low mileage car. Let's say under 10k miles.

Your car is extremely nice, and I would price it in the mid 20's to start off. This is not to dog your car, but to help you.

You have spent a lot of time and money into this car and it shows. Be proud of this car, but unfortunately this does not always turn into dollar signs.

Then again, I could be wrong. You could find that one guy who has to have it! I hope you do!

I'd start by taking off all of the exterior visual mods...its a customized car and will not meet many people's taste's.

Agreed! It almost devalues the M5, but definitely opens up the pool of buyers. I would go into why, but I am tired. Also, with the modifications, I would keep my stated initial asking price. The Brembo brakes, the Dinan mods, etc add value! Those are what people are looking for.
