I recently spoke to a friend in the car selling trade
he loves the e39 m5 for its pure no nonsense setup ..ie more of a drivers car than the newer version
he mentioned when e39 m5s come up for sale he hardly pays anything for them
and said some get bought and simply broken for salvage .
i stood there gob smacked.
i havent sat down and roughly worked out parts prices to split a running m5 but wonder if its the way we are going to loose alot
of high mileage /badly looked after beasts..
