Hi,
Just picked up my M5 this weekend, very pleased!

The dash tells me my oil level is low, the dipstick tells me it is a quarter of the way above minimum. Is this about right?

Thanks, Phil

this is normal and correct -
bcs the S38B38-engine CAN develop a higher consumption of oil under extrem
and hard use = you get an early oil-level warning just in case -
no need to worry for normal driving - give the baby some 10W60 unless an oil-service is waiting around the corner anyway - :typing: :viking:

Just popped next door to German and Swedish (very handy), I'll give her an oil change this week.

It's a H reg Macao Blue with biege leather, the one that covers the lower dash and parcel shelf, etc.

Really pleased with it, I think I would have to describe it as a bigger and better 325 sport without the rust issues (hopefully).

Just struggling with insurance at the moment as my company has declined to insure me. I'm 24 with full NCB, the same company had no problems insuring me on an M3 when I was 21 with 3 years NCB! Work that one out.
