Hello i had an oil level alert blinking on the dashboard. I called my local dealer and he said the oil level sensor who is in the oil pan was out. I changed it with new oil and filter, started the engine and....bling: "oil level sensor " again.... Any idea?
Thanks

Marvelous,

Are you saying you completely changed the sensor unit in the oilpan?
If so...wiring is faulty...

Hello Crash & Burn,
it's correct i changed the complete sensor unit in the oil pan....
And if it's the wiring, i'm dead cause i think it's almost impossible to find WHERE it's defect !?

Chances are the wire has shorted out somewhere. Follow it as best you can from the sensor back, look for any crimped, or particularly oily spots in the harness where it may have frayed through.

Disconnect the sensor and see if that makes the warning go away. In which case it's a normally open circuit and the short has closed it. If it doesn't go out that means you have a loose/bad connection, sometimes at the harness connector, or ground if the sensor doesn't use the threads to ground.
