Tim,

Thanks for putting the Fest together again this year. I understand how difficult it is to organize such large events. Your hard work is appreciated.

I will do my best to try to make it out this year.

Kenny
Thanks Kenny.

Organizing the actual event isn't TERRIBLE, but the begging is. Begging people to preregister, purchase tickets, shirts, begging vendors for raffle prizes or donations, etc.......

That's the stuff that's just getting old. People don't realize what's involved in doing something like this without knowing if anyone is even going to show up or participate. I have to commit to doing the event without having a commitment from people to show up. It's just tough to do every year. We had 400+ cars one year, then barely 200 the next year. People where complaining about the numbers, something I have absolutely no control over. People complain we don't do the drag night or police escort, well, that stuff is REALLY expensive. If I could get those items prepaid for, then no problem, but I no longer with to be out of pocket thousands of dollars to support it. I also am tired of asking my friends to over pay for others. Too many times a single member as donated $1500 because they know the financial strain the event is having. So the only real solution is to let REAL businesses handle the car show stuff. We will just make plans to all go to the same event......

Thank you to Tim and his wonderful family for making this the event of the summer, and the last 5 (missed 2011 & 12 as I didn't have the M5 yet), and to all the others who contribute to this great event and gathering.

Finally, today I had some time at home with the PC to catch up on important things. Hotel the Cambria Suites booked (thanks again Tim), SWAG ordered, and a message left with Will at the Toy Barn for the Dyno day. And if all goes well I'll have a driveway approach and street to get Brunhilde out in time; otherwise I'll be rolling the ZHP.

Unfortunately the deadline has come and gone, and we are well short of getting 10 people preregistered for the Dyno Day. The Toy Barn has canceled the Dyno Day due to lack of interest. I will update the original post with an updated event schedule when I figure it out.

Just proves my above post.......

Sorry ya'll.

I will be placing the T-shirt order tomorrow. Last chance to pre purchase at timmayfest.com. I am ordering a VERY limited amount of extra shirts, aside from what has been reordered

Looks good! Thanks to Travis for the final design!

I believe I ordered a shirt and some decals as usual. Thinking about it now though, was there a preregister for dinner up? I don't remember if I bought my meal ticket for Cantina Loco.

Yes, dinner tickets are available at the website. I do not have you down yet for a dinner ticket. They can also be purchased at any time during the weekend......

Updated the Facebook page with the new event.

We are organizing a cruise through the Hocking Hills area, stopping at Old Man's Cave, and finishing up with lunch at The Olde Dutch restaurant.

THIS WILL NOT BE A RACE OR SPIRITED DRIVE.

If you plan on driving fast and pushing your car to the limit, this is not the cruise for you. If ANYONE in the group does this, we will immediately end the event and head back to Columbus. This cruise is designed for us to get out as a group and do a little driving to see some of the sights Ohio has to offer.

We will begin at the Bob Evan’s restaurant at 8:30am for a driver’s meeting. I will pass out the route and maps at that time.

Starting address is

Bob Evans
6085 Gender Rd
Canal Winchester, OH 43110

This year we are going to do a "Selfie Challenge". The winner will receive a prize at the Saturday evening dinner the last night of Timmayfest. The challenge will begin on Monday June 19th, the week of Timmayfest. We will post a list of challenges and point totals on the TF website and they can also be found in the TF app. Using the app, you can now take/submit a selfie of yourself, your team, and/or your car. Each entry will be worth a certain amount of points and the person/team with the most points by the time of the dinner on Saturday night will be awarded a special prize. Feel free to join up and do it as a team, just make sure to use the same team name when submitting photos. Get creative and have fun with it. We have also added a video to show you how to submit a selfie to the challenge via the app.

The Selfie Challenge has begun!!! Download the Timmayfest iOS or Android app to play. You can take your selfie inside the app or upload it from your camera roll. The winner(s) will be announced and receive their prize at Saturday evening's dinner. We will post point totals and some of the best submissions to Instagram and Facebook as well throughout the week. So go out there and have fun with it, and remember, you or your car must be present in the selfie to be counted for points. The full list of challenges can be found here:

Just booked my hotel room near Polaris. Come hell or highwater I will be at Timmayfest! I'll have room in a vehicle for out-of-towners, as well.
