That will remind me of one of our trips to Bimmerfest. After everyone got fuel, we got on the freeway and I looked back and I forgot to put my gas cap on. I pull over to put it on and the caravan fades off into the distance.

I put the gas cap on and proceed to speed to catch up to them ~110-115. Well, I kept asking my wife "where are they?" When we got to the next designated meeting spot (In 'n Out), I figured they would be there.

Nope. During my haste to catch them in the fast lane, I flew right by them in the slow lane. They didn't show up until 15 minutes later. :rofl:

I recommend avoiding Colorado and Kansas if at all possible. Steve swears by the southern route (40) and the parts of 80 I did on the way back were mostly clear with 70-75mph limits.

Is there going to be a Cali convoy again next year?

Sounds like an incredible turnout at the event. I'm going to miss my M5 brethren. Hopefully, I will make it next year in my F82 M4 and be welcomed with open arms.
