I just bought a Z8 Clutch kit for my E39 M5 on ebay very cheap.

But i checked ETK and it says that only works on a Z8?

Is there anybody here that knows if the orginal clutch kit for the Z8 will work on an E39 M5.

Thanks

The seller gave me 212 17 515 146 for the kitnumber. this appear to be an Z8 Clutch kit.

But on the box that i received says: 212 12 282 388 ( E39 M5 clutch kit)

TOB: 223 582 ( Sachs)
CP : 212 12 229 722 (LUK)
PP : 212 12 228 386 (LUK)

Now the TOB and the clutch plate are E39 M5 numbers.
But the number on the pressure plate i can`t recover on the ETK.

Is there someone that has an picture of an pressure plate of the E39 M5?

Thanks

212 12 282 388 is the original clutch unit part #. 212 17 515 146 is the current part #. Both for the M5. You can see that in RealOEM.com at this page

You should be good to go.
