For sale: OEM Xenon Headlights - complete with bulbs, ballast, and assembly - $550, shipped.

I'm a new M5 owner and new to the board. I'm quickly learning this is a dangerous place to lurk... or should I say expensive. I look at the mods other members are putting on their M's and I think, "Ohhh, I want that!" The Umnizta headlight upgrades were one of my first. So, I have turned back to the board to sell my the original lights that were on the car.

As the pictures show, they do work but have the look of being taken off a ten year-old car. The ballast brackets are also missing (I used them in my new install) as are the lower rubber seals. One tab has broken off one off the bulbs on the driver's side assembly.

I still have the box and packaging the upgrades came in, so I will use this to ship these headlights. I will ship FedEx and prefer not to ship overseas. Please do not PM me, because I can not respond yet. If there are any questions, please post them here.

The original lights still on the car.

Passenger Headlight

Hey,

I'm looking for the passenger side headlight only. Would you be will to sell for 200 shipped? Also, are the adjusters on the lights broken at all? This is reason I am looking to replace. I have tried to get into the assembly to change the adjusters but the damn glue is really stuck on there. Even with heating it at 350 degrees in the oven didn't loosen it. Please get back to me.

Thank you for your offer but I would prefer to sell these as a set.

As for the adjusters, I have no reason to believe they aren't working as normal. I pulled these off the car in full working condition.

Crap... I was fiddling with my web server this weekend and must have forgot to turn it back on. Sorry about that. I'll fix it as soon as I get home and the links will work.

Links and pictures back up. It helps when the server is actually... Well, serving. Take a look and let me know what you think.

After seeing the pics, looks like these are going to need some reconditioning with the lens and would have to get brackets as well. I only need the passenger side headlight but if I were to purchase both I want to offer 450.00 shipped since I would have to turn around and sell the driver side.

Are these unmodified except for what appears to be an aftermarket angel-eye bulb? Are these definitely original MY2001 headlights? It matters to me because I plan to open them up for modification.

Thank you.

Josiagh52,

Yes, these are still available. To answer your question, I do believe these are completely stock. As I am the second owner of the car, so I am unaware of any updates/upgrades - however, the car appears to be completely stock. That is until I got my hands on it. =)

You will need the mounting brackets and a harness (available from the OEM) to split the 3-wires going to your present turn-signal/corner lamp bulb into 4-wires: two going to the new turn signal bulb and two going to the angel-eye/corner lamp bulb. You may also have to bend your air conditioning charging connection pipe (on the right side) slightly for clearance purposes.

Josiahg52 is correct about the brackets.

RealOEM.com   BMW E39 M5 Headlight, electronic parts, Xenon light

I used #4 and #5 from the original headlight assemblies to help mount the new ballasts.

As for the wiring, I am unfamiliar with that process, however there is a pdf guide some where on the 'nets that describe the process including the bending of the AC pipe. (On umitza's page???)

Is anyone looking for just the Driver side?? I am looking to take the passenger side. This way it's a Win, Win, Win since I'm looking for the passenger side.

To be clear, the headlight mounting brackets themselves, the brackets that attach to the car, differ between the facelift and pre-facelift headlight. In other words, they mount differently on the vehicle.
