Hi Board members.

My E39 M5 had a fuel pump fail on me yesterday. I was on the way to the race track at the time needless to say I never made the race track but was escorted home on a tow truck.
I have contacted BMW Spare parts in Aust and there are NO M5 fuel pumps at any BMW service centre in Australia. They have to bring it in from Germany.
I was wondering whether any memeber would be kind enough to find out from their BMW services centres whether they have one in stock. I understand that they need the last 6 digits of my chassis number in order to identify the part number is here they are: BJ10416.
I could pay the service centre directly and arrange UPS to Aust.

Cheers in advance

No need to look. I found one they actually have some of the old model number in stock but noe of the new (no difference in the product).
Tip: when asking for a part and they advise non are in stock as them to check the database for superceeded stock!

cheers
