I have been having a harshness coming through the exhaust after driving in the rain or after a high rpm run,it feels like the cats are vibrating the tranny tunnel-quite hard to describe really. It only used to do it when it was driven in the wet but now its after hard driving aswell.

Iam kind of assuming its the Ignition being pegged back causing the increase in noise/harshness,but there are no codes or engine light?

The car has failed the emissions test on Mot,mabe the cats are bad?

When you say no codes, have you checked with a Peake?? Have you ever replaced the Exhaust CPS's before??

My exhaust started sounding odd after hitting some melted snow when it was very hot. Result: one cracked pipe...

Might be worth taking a look?

If its not a CPS issue, then you probably looking at an exhaust leak or broken bracket. Just get her up on a lift and check it out.
