I am the happy new owner of a 2001 M5. It has only 30k on it, and runs perfect. I am encouraged by the postings on this web page, and would appreciate some help on a little situation I am experiencing. Does every M5 make a high pitched noise under throttle, kind of like radio interfearance, but it comes from under the center console where the tranny is. Say I am on the highway at 65mph, under throttle, I hear the noise, but it dissapers when I let off the gas and re-appears when I get back on. Is the clutch bad? It feels fine. I read a thread where someone had a problem with the phone that caused the noise. I would say from experience that it is the gears whinning, does anyone else have this problem?
