Okay so I don't want to call this a Cars & Coffee because it really isn't going to be one. It will be more of a gathering of local board members. Something much more low key and not have to deal with the stupidity of other "Car enthusiasts" who tend to rev out their vehicles, use freight train horns, do peel outs, etc Ever since Fairlakes C&C closed we really haven't had a location to meet besides Katie's on Saturday's but for most board members it's way too early in the morning. This is more of a feeler and have no idea how it will turn out. I have not called any business owners or shopping center owners to see if utilizing their parking lot is kosher. But I figure if we found a busy (and large) enough parking lot that has stores that are open fairly earlier in the morning they really can't say anything to us because I know we are all responsible owners here.

My proposal is a parking lot right off Leesburg Pike in Tysons Corner. I've been to this parking lot many times, and there is ample parking space and we could utilize somewhere in the back. Stores in the shopping center include: Best Buy, Chick-Fil-A, Chiptole, Roti, etc I will use the Chick-Fil-A address as reference: 8461 Leesburg Pike B, Tysons, VA 22182. Chick-Fil-A is open for breakfast time (06:30) - So I can't see anyone trying to kick us out of the parking lot. I have attached a small map of where I am talking about. I figure this location is in the middle for most board members and isn't as far out as Dulles Dunkin C&C.

Does this sound like something people would want to try out? 730/800 meet up time?

This weekend should make Katie's in Great Falls a standing room only day. Get there early (like 6:00 am). I will break out my garage queen once again. AS i need to burn off another 1/32 off the tires to justify a new set after 11 years....

At the current rate of wear of 1/32 every 500 miles I should be ready any day now....

There is a starbucks 0.4mi down route 7 if you want that type of coffee.

Well Dulles C&C is great for me but its far from an enthusiasts haven and will never be a Katies per se even though we are mostly ignored at Katies anyway.

This new location does have another benefit tho we are close enough to the subaru dealer we can heckle the losers buying STI's tell them "theres no replacement for displacement".

Im interested in this new location even though is MORE inconvenient than Dunkin lol and dont need coffee anyway

Okay so sounds like something everyone would be interested in trying out. I will follow up with the first gathering in a later post.

I figure most people are busy this weekend for Memorial Day so we'll scratch that. I'll be away the first 2 weekends in June as well - so if people want to meet during those weekends, someone else will have to take lead. I can shoot for June 17th (Saturday).
