LOL ...Jeez you just dont know when to let go eh mate ? ouich :D

If I was a clairvoyant then I could forsee all the problems ahead in any project and give you a completion date down to the second ; but I am human so sue me :3:

This kind of development takes as long as it takes , welcome to the world of serious and professional engine tuning .

We have both said our bit Jayson , so may i suggest we leave it there , agree to disagree as it were  No hard feelings

all the best

If you really want to shut me up it's simple. Show me some progress pics, show me a car, show me a bracket. Show me a dyno, have one of the car owners come in and say I'm happy with the progress, I'm happy with what I see. It dont' take much. You made a large claim when you posted 610hp bolt on. You now have to back up the claim thats all it comes down to.

For the the rest of you guys , i am happy to say I finally have some pics of the system fitted , sent to me today by the engine builder .

Latest development news is there has been some changes since these pictures

- larger Lintec redline filters flowing 400hp / each

no intercooler. ouich

i was wondering that myself. It looks like the basic hardware is the same as the active autowerks kit, without an intercooler. Less boost, i suppose? AA's site is saying 580-620hp, with the intercooler. Dinan uses an intercooler too, and says 610, or more on a cool day!

Or, are those metal boxes in the OE airboxes going to be aftercoolers Or are they already)?

i think the metal boxes are the intercoolers. It looks like the AA kit (clearly thats who they are working with) but with some interesting changes that would appear to be something to watch.

FYI .. you may see similar pics on other threads as this project is in conjunction with another engine builder as you know

That's fine, two heads are better than one. Good pics. If no intercooler, are you going to use water spray to help keep temps down? Why dual SC's, don't you have more parasitic losses with 2 belts and higher cost and 2x chance of something breaking with 2 pieces of hardware?? I understand they may spool up faster, but lag is not a problem in SC's like turbos. Keep up the development, obvioulsy you have people ( potential customers) watching!!!

Yes , the alu boxes you can see within the oem airboxes are the intercoolers .

The idea being that at a cursory glance under the hood the engine will appear factory , especially as the chagers are slung so low level .

Also , although we are europe agents for active autowerke and will also be offering their system when it is ready , this particular kit we are taking about is nothing to do with active , as we also wanted to be abled to offer a european based system.
I have just received more updated pics today and will post the very soon .

Are they air to air intercoolers or air to water or are you using Nitrious I dont see or what? If it's air to air how are they getting air to blow over them and cool.

Thats all I need to know right there bud.

And for your info I do have a great deal of experience with custom s/c applications and hp promises.

Your title says 610 hp bolt on...Not we are looking to get 600ish hp...610 is an exact number before you even made the setup, or should a say AA.

I would not see whly there would be two belts, just like with one s/c you just place the blower "inline" so to speak and run a longer belt, well now you have two and just that much longer. In it's simplest of forms.

So for those of us with CAI, what do you have in mind? :(

the main idea of two chargers is for boost balance and believe it or not thermal and volumetric efficiency and "safety margins " . Likewise for the two belts , the stresses and strains are lessenened . Also with one belt there would be risk of "tight spots ".

As with almost all forced induction conversions ,a normaly aspirated type intake will have to be replaced or heavily modified to suit.

We are concentrating on development of the kit for OEM motors at first , it may not actually feasble to integrate active type CAI 's , but we will be looking into this later .

Meanwhile here are two more pics detailing the induction and piping changes to original spec i mentioned last time .

regards to all

Roy:

So far I like what I see.

Do you happen to know if the designers of the system will be eliminating the 2 Foglights ... OR ... Have they been able to accomplish a Workaround and get enough outside airflow without eliminating them ? ?

In regards to the Outside Airflow ... this question might be a little pre-mature ... but ... Since it appears that the 2 Air Filters will be approximately inline with the Far Left & Right Openings (Foglights) in the Front Bumper Cover ... What type of preventative device has been designed to protect the Air-Flow Route and ultimately the engine from the ingestion of foreign materials ...i.e. Water (puddles) ... Debris (leaves, paper) ? ?

Again ... Congrats on the way you've been keeping us all unformed. We all understand that you can only pass on the information IF YOU HAVE IT ! !

cool, thanks roy.

Ed makes a good point, the induction filters look pretty much directly inplace of where the foglights sit, maybe a foglight housing similar to hamman fog ducts could be used? to still keep the foglights?
I'd imagine there could be a filter "sock/sleeve" type cover for folks who live in very wet areas, similar to the dinan cai induction kit.
