This stacks up very well against the projected cost of the ESS single-blower kit which I had my name down for........I will speak to Roy and get further details.........Roger

Tin, just spoken to Roy about this, you and I need to have a discussion at some point again. I have asked Roy a load of questions that you will want answered, once I have the responses, I will come back to you.

ESS kit (single Vortech blower) will be available end-June, but at higher cost.

I've also had a serious look at this kit and I have to say, it seems very reasonably priced.. I have lots of questions about durability and reliability and stuff. And once the Tubi is bedded in and I am fed with just listening !!! to it.. I will be thinking about this kit very seriously! So please keep me in the loop as to the information you glean boys.. Thanks Dave

I've also got the email you mentioned above Tin..
Have asked some questions of Roy and my words are in Blue and Red and his reply is in black.. (the larger font!)

"Meanwhile here are some answers to your previous questions .........with your consent I will be posting the below on the forums as well in case other owners have similar questions

Sure no problem Roy, hehe here it is!

Firstly please be aware that the kits will be fully tested before offering to the public , so earliest delivery will be no less than 6 weeks from date of this e mail .

At least one thousand kilometers of road and trackday testing will be put in on the test car over the next few weeks , following which the heads will be removed for inspection - plus running a similar setup even harder on the 540is (high boost configuration) - to ensure Rotrex SC quality is 100%.

We will not deliver anything until we are confident that we deliver 100% customer satisfaction.

What ancillary modifications are you recommending along with this s/c kit?
And how much would they be...?
Clutch kit - SPEC :) , possible rear subframe reinforcement

Have you had anyone do any reliability trials? i.e. 6 months of driving and no problems.. ?
TÜV approval and reability trials currently in process, there is also a Air/Air Intercooled alternative in the pipeline .

Do you have any actual dyno print outs instead of plots on excel? my original dyno graph looks nothing like that one, in fact its totally linear.
Dyno was done on a Hoffman Dyno at Rotrex in Denmark -, we will do ROTOtest and DynoJet runs as we can.
We will also do a run at ESS own dyno just to annoy them this summer :)
As this point this is what we have.

I'm very interested but i've spent a lot of money on the car lately, and would only go down this path if i felt it would really be reliable.
I understand your concerns read my initial toughts above.

we will also soon be announcing warantee details ".

Personally this sounds like the right kind of language to me and i am watching with interest, a great deal of interest !!!

cheers
dave

cool, thanks dave!

On looking at the dyno plot, the figures on the std m5, seem alittle high (550Nm torque/405hp) however it could just be a very good/strong example or due to the dyno road used... will be good to see the additional dyno plots in due course for comparison.

Certainly the twin-rotrex system looks very promising, looks very similar to the aa tuning setup, but Roy has said it is completely different and not based on theirs, as it isn't even finished/released. European cars will most likely have different ECU mappings anyhow, and will need to be adjusted accordingly.

Eagerly waiting for install pics.. :wroom: :hihihi:

The E55/RS6 will definately better watchout, da ///M is coming back with a big punch! :p

Thanks for the email Tin (although not received at the time of writing).Who's up for a trip to see Roy and go through all the detail?? He's still working out the aftermarket warranty details - there is no way I will proceed if I can't get cover for a £15,000 engine.
