Hey everyone. I just got 4 new rotors and pads installed last nite. I have noticed that its very difficult to stop the car! If i press the brakes down really hard, i hear knocking noise. Should this be happening? How should i break them in properly?

It will take a bit for the pads to "bed". New pads and rotors have irregular surfaces so they don't mate real well. Look up any bedding procedure and try that. Also new pads and rotors give off alot of gas when they get hot the first couple of times this will also decrease your braking distance for the first 100 or so miles. They will eventually grab like the old ones.

Clunk? Not right make sure nothing is rubbing and everything is tight...

They definitely need bedding in - in fact you should be taking easy on all 3 predals..
