I'm trying to source some new front pads for the car. Dealer wants £256+VAT, and I ain't paying that. Sent for some Jag XJR pads which are supposed to be the same, but had no slot for the pad wear sensor (also not quite deep enough but I can live with that) see picture below:

These are what I ordered:
BRAKE PAD KIT-FRONT

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

get some brake specialist to make you up some discs when needed... ap and various other companies do discs made to measure etc and as for pads cant remember exactly but you got the brembo 4 pots on the v8s so you should be open to a variety of pads ferrodo etc or even brembo direct.

True, but after all the time spent to make them "to measure", I doubt the savings will be worth the effort (if any). This option is well useful for parts not available in OEM anymore. I wouldn't bother for a couple of £ if available at a dealer... especially on such an exclusive car as a B10 VS :dunno:

its much easier than before sherlock to get the discs made up as most of the big brake kit suppliers have similar disc sizes so it would only be the mounting side that would need the modifying and is done pretty quick... dont know about belgium though im speaking for uk... eg my discs are 362mm cant remember exact but they are ap slotted discs and just reworked to fit my housing bells and they cost me less than 300 gbp for the pair... so there are considerable savings to be made..

I'm based in Blackburn in Lancashire, I can't find anyone who can do anything locally. A few people have mentioned ferrodo, but all dealers I contact only do standard clobber, and nothing for my application, I've been at this for a week now and it's driving me batty. Is there a contact phone number or website for ferrodo out there (in English)?

I just dropped a mail at the Belgian Alpina dealer (JMM) asking for the price (brake pads, front/rear, B10 V8S). Will let you know. If interested, I can buy them for you and send them over. Let's wait for their response.

Just been on AP racing site and no matches on pad size.

The sixe of the pad is 131.8 x 71(I think, this is me measuring)

Closest I can find are:
Apec Braking. Full Spec, Full Stop. Brake pads, brake discs, brake shoes, brake drums and hydraulics
Apec Braking. Full Spec, Full Stop. Brake pads, brake discs, brake shoes, brake drums and hydraulics

why dont you ring them and see what they say, sounds like the ones what you found will match, tell them the calipers what you have and size of disc, im sure you will be pointed in the right direction....RING THEM NOT A DEALER BUT AP RACING DIRECT
