Hi,
I got an 06 M5 Stck no mods.

Waked up a morning and started my M5 , Disaster Shown on the dash board info.

1. SOS system Failure.
2. Batery Over charged. error.
3. I-Drive screen not working at all DEAD. !!!
4. Left Mirror is turning to clockwised until reach to the maximum !!!.

tried to make CCC reset but no advantage. it is still dead not working.

Changed the battery as per the dealer said but still not working.

The dealer is saying that all the faults are coming from the CCC unit it must be changed.

i will change but they dont promise that it will work fine and as everbody knows BMW M5 Middleast version warranty expires after 2 years from date of first buy with no possibility to extend .
so Experts HELP with advices !!!!!

What should i do next?

First of all welcome!

2nd of all, Middle East M5's have a 3 year or 60k kms warranty. An option for extended warranty is available but it's very costly.

Let the dealer diagnose the faults and see what error codes appear. guessing is not going to help you! It could be your alternator for that matter. Anything is possible!

Ask them to diagnose the car and ask to see the error codes and post them here.

Alternator intermittently overcharging

Alternator failure can throw some confusing symptoms.

Mine is at the shop right now. They discovered the alternator is intermittently overcharging. These intermittent faults can wreak havoc on diagnostic process. I got lucky. They read and reset all codes. They took it out and almost immediately it gave them the symptoms I described. They checked alternator output voltage and found it at 17.9V and then it went back down to 14.6V. I read the output voltage at 14.6V the night before too. I thought I had good battery voltage (but didn't load test it) and good alternator output voltage, but that was not the case!

Good luck!

Yes I saw that you had told them that. What I was referring to as something to keep in the back of your mind is that the alternator can intermittently demonstrate signs of failure. If they test the alternator and it looks good at that moment, they move on to the next likely culprit. If they get to the end of the line in troubleshooting, maybe an intermittent failure is something to check into.

Good luck getting this sorted out.
