We used to spray it around the fence so the weeds would not grow as easily. Of course this was before the days of the weed eater.

like MAH says it came from the ground why not put it back there
Of course we're all kidding about this. Oil in the ground does nasty things to the water table. Don't do it! :eek:

I am guessing that a light spray of old oil on the weeds around the yard would probaby not be enough to effect the water table. Now if you are an oil changing business that would be a different story all together.
