Guys, just got some pictures from the German steering wheel place that has made my steering wheel. This is the same company that used to make our steering wheels for BMW and the ones that did Kumaran's alcantara wheel. I did regular leather top, perforated leather sides, and alcantara bottom. The top stitch is horizontal, and of course there is ///M stitching all around. I have to say I love it! hiha

Company: Leder Raeder
Website: LaderReader.eu
Cost: 100-140 Euros depending on what you want
Shipping: 35 Euros to the states
Transaction: You pay 100 Euro deposit, they ship you new wheel, you ship back your old wheel and get deposit back
They shipped it DHL today, tracking info isn't up yet for ETA.

p.s. The people, or person, that I have been emailing throughout the entire transaction is wonderful. Typed decent English and was extremely helpful. Fulfilled my every request and the price can't be beat! :)

I'm confused by that. If what you want is 100 euros, you get that back as deposit? So your only cost is shipping?

Plus I think they take your core... at least thats how the Dallas wheel place does it (where I will be taking mine)

It looks good but a bit too much for me. Ideally I would have one stitching pattern all the way around and at max two types of material... 3 is just... too much. It looks good though, glad you enjoy it

Even if they do take my core, what pays for labor and materials?

Diny I think this means...

100-140 euros depending on what fabric/design you want
PLUS 100 euros for deposit
You ship your old wheel to them, get 100 euros back. You have still paid to them 100-140 euros plus shipping
At least that is what I get out of it

What blacky said is right.

Great deal. Netting out the deposit it will have cost me $223 + shipping back. Cheaper than a brand new OEM wheel made by the same people and custom made to order. :)

Very, Very nice.

I have a little idea if I do mine. You know how Ferrari and Lambo have a small strip at the top of the steering wheel to show the center? I'll do mine in the M colors.

Regardless, beautiful work, and can't wait to see pictures installed

I'm in the process of arranging things to send my 2001 steering wheel to them to apply smooth leather (instead of grainy) with the M stiching. Will let you know how that goes :)
