There's a place I took mine last year between Welwyn and Codicote on the B656.

It's actually a commercial truck place, but they have certification to do other classes as well.

It's called ROYTON EXPRESS DELIVERIES (WELWYN) LTD and it's at 65 Codicote Road, Welwyn, AL6 9TY

Any garage which is licensed to do an MOT can do an MOT on an M5. The points they look at have nothing to do with the M5 being a fairly unique car. It is only if they find something amiss that you need to worry. Mine had Inspection I about 3 months ago and has now had its MOT at the same garage = no problems and no extra costs involved.

Well they don't do repairs, so they've nothing to gain from failing you car to gain work - unlike BMW.

Mine passed on Saturday at BMW Liverpool, as my local, non-fixing, MOT station is closed. They have said I definitely need the MAF replacing though!

Hi Steve,

Give me a call and we can arrange to take it for an MOT to the same place where the previous one was passed. My mobile died and I don't have your number handy!

Well they did say it was a first come, first served system. I was there first and it still took over two hours for them to get the car back to me.

And they have moved - without telling customers, so I was sat at the old (now sales only) showroom until from 8:00 to 8:30, and then shot over to the Pall Mall site at 8:31!

They changed service away from showroom in Bournemouth in a similiar fashion but slipped up and let the public know. Oh well no one is perfect.
