The '01's are coming in folks. Last month 244 M5's were delivered to customers vs 20 in the year ago period (which does'nt count since the real deliveries began in November '99)

The running total is now 3,118 E39 M5's on U.S. Roads (+ or - the departed) ... wow!

Oh... the other bimmers are selling very well thank you. Apparently lots of people have discovered what we already knew. BMW's can dance. The automotive equivalent of Fred Astaire if you will.

I understand that the M3 has not shipped to anyone yet. There may be a problem in the drivetrain. BMW does not want to go through a possible recall, so they are holding deliveries up at this point.

hahahahah
my sneaker (mcoupe) only sold like about 1187 or so to date. Wow, isnt that less then the total alloted z8's that are going to be out there? ahahahah, talk about cheap exclusivity. I know before anybody says anything, you think the car is ugly. I actually think it is super funky, and love its rigid chassis. I always get people asking about it, telling me they love it or hate it, more love then hate though. im just feeling good that lots of them are not out there, it's unfortunate to know so many m5's are out there now though, i like to keep the family small, so that when people see it they scratch their heads, and dont think 'oh, that's the 5th one ive seen today', all the more reason i had gotten teh mcoupe, but i thought the m5 would also leave people wondering, that is people who are in teh know.
o well
fas

oh and btw my edit: i count more like 2,438 m5's were sold, not 3,118? am i reading this wrong????

I think the Mcoupe looks great. But then again, I likesd the MGB GT back in the seventies too.

I love the M coupe. I drove it when it came out, and I also took the Estoril Blue M coupe at Spartanburg. What a wonderful machine.. if only I needed another car.

I love the M coupe as well. It has "funky" written all over it. Kind of like a hip dude from Greenwich Village wearing all black & proud of it.

The rumor is 2000 will be the last year for this model. If I had to pick one car for an autocross this would be it!

Rock on!
