I created a thread few weeks ago when I got Magnaflow 14815 exhaust installed on my beast and posted some videos.

Original thread link: http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=111500

Videos are on post #1, #49, and #88.

I'm sure there are lots of other folks here who probably didn't check the post and are in the market for an exhaust and want to hear how the same exhaust sounds with and without the resonator. LEENA1 also has the Magnaflow 14815 exhaust installed but he took out the resonator (no x-pipe either). My ride has the 14815 exhaust but I did not take out the resonator. We made some video clips two days ago to help folks on the forum so they can hear the difference.

What you hear is what you get. Both the cars were warmed up and same camera was used to make the videos:

Enjoy!

WOW...thanks for posting those vids. I really like the mags with no resonator. It sounds so much more aggressive. Wow...thanks again

My personal opinion favors the resonator. I like the deeper, less raspy tone achieved when the resonator is left in place. But this is very subjective and everyone has their own likes/dislikes. Thanks for the vids!:applause:

That's exactly the point was to post the videos. Sound liking is subjective and we made the videos to help others in the market for exhaust do decide what they like and go for it.

By no means one sound is better than the other cause it boils down to personal liking.
