Hi,

Just wondering, for all that have changed MAFs to cure the power-loss and SES issues, did you have to pay for that yourselvs, or all work were done under warranty?

If you paid, how much, and where did you get the parts? Thanks for sharing.

My regular warranty just expired and I also have an extended warranty. However, my dealer did not want to hassle with the extended warranty and so they just covered it gratis.

Warranty should cover the MAFS with no issues.

BMW covered under goodwill. Car was 2 months out of warranty with 28000 miles.

Just an update. It is the left side MAFS, replaced under warranty even though car has 61k miles. It is covered under the emission equipment category - 7 years/70k miles. Just saved $900 or so.

Car is now running like a bull.

Thanks BMW and a beloved borad member here for the tip.
