- From 180 km/h and upwards the M6 accelerates faster than the Porsche.
- Consumption: M6= 17,6 l Porsche 16,7 l
- Porsche superior on the track.
- Steering of the M6 is too smooth and feels a bit numb at high speeds.
- M6 is very easy to dirft with.
- PCC brakes of the Porsche much better.
- M6 offers much better ride comfort. M6 has got more comfortable seats. Back seats of the M6 offer more space. Bigger trunk.
- Porsche produces much more noise in the inside due to airsream and loud engine that gets on your nerves on long journeys.
- M6 has got better safty equipment.
- M6 costs 106.500,-- €, Porsche costs 142.248,-- €
- Porsche is an awesome sport car; M6 best combination between sport car and long distance coupe.

Thanks for sharing Autobahnraser, nice to hear this, especially if you are buying the M6 for a daily driver, sounds like the perfect mix of sports car and GT.

When Autozeitung drove M5:

M5: 0-100 in 4.4 sec, 0-200km/h 13,9

When Autozeitung drove M5 they got the time 0-200km/h in 13.9 sec
Laptime for M5 was 1.43,2min and for M6 1.40 min
Slalom for M5 was 66,7 km/h , for M6 65,3km/h

M5 faster speed in slalom test. How come?

Temperature, humidity and surface conditions and tyres have a great effect on performance! You can best compare figures when testing cars at the same time and same place. The M5 did the 0-100 km/h in 4,4s even though it weighs more and the CdA is worse.

Last issue of Autozeitung, they drove the 911 Turbo S (vs Gallardo and F430) and it looks like they took the numbers from last issue Of Autozeitung and and just wrote it in the new issue against the M6

So I dont belive the M6 and the 911 Turbo S was tested under the same conditions.

But on the pictures you can see both cars standing side by side on the track.
yes on the pictures but they have exact the same numbers from the last issue. I found it extremly difficult to have the exact same numbers twice. Both laptimes, slalom speed, braking, noise (Db), verbrauch and acceleration is exactly the same.

so Im not fully convinced...

See the F430,gallrdoturbo test here
http://www.autozeitung.de/index.php?page=3er-vergleichstest&action=detail&id=1212&tb=8&current=2

Isnt this the same numbers you now can read in the latest issue?

We have to wait for additional tests and must than determine an average value! In June POWERCAR will do an M6 vs. Corvette C6 test.

How will the forthcoming 997 turbo compare?
It's not quite fair to compare the performance of a bran new M6 against a dated Porsche 996 Turbo S. However, if you spend much time in your car because of business matters for example, or if you like to undertake long journeys with your car, or if you are in need of a real trunk, the M6 is the better choice for you. M6 vs. 996 or 997? That doesn't matter then! But the M6 will lose its Autobahn superiority against the 997 Turbo S for sure.

Does anybody know what colour interior is used for the M6 picture above? I'm talking about item "4a", showing a very light colour leather of the M6 interior.

It's a Silverstone II full leather trim (X3A9). Silverstone II leather looks almost white and is very hard to keep clean.
