I've weighed my car three times, on two different scales, and the numbers were identical, so I'll take these as accurate. My car has ALL options, and no weight savings, so this is definitely worst case. Car was weighed with a full tank of gas, no driver. I had 20 lbs of 'junk' in the car, but also had BBS wheels which are about 20 lbs lighter than stock, so it's a wash.

11/08 weight, at Shelter Moving and Storage: 4100 lbs, 13 gallons short of a full tank = 80 lbs. Total weight with full tank = 4180 lbs.

11/09 weight, at Planes Incorporated: 4180 lbs, full tank

11/09 weight, at Shelter Moving and Storage: 4180 lbs, full tank

So, three measurements, two different facilities, two days and identical weights. That should give people a pretty good baseline.

Interesting responses. Seems some are coming in just under 4000lbs and some just over.

I shall have to get mine weighed. May just pop into the truck scales next time I'm heading out of town:p
Unless I've missed something, nobody is claiming they have weighed a stock M5 at under 4,000 lbs. Also, if you don't specify how much gas you have in the tank, you are forgetting about 150 lbs of weight. With a full tank, no driver, no 'junk' in the car, and everything stock, the only variation in weight would be because of the options.

My car should be the upper limit since I have all the options - 4180 lbs. I would imagine someone with a 'stripped' car (no sunroof etc.) could probably shave 100 lbs or more.
