Just got a quote from Churchill in the UK for
GBP 1,400 with a named driver for 7,000 miles avg a year the car is garaged but live only just outside Ldn in a higher rate area.
Then called Direct Line and they came in at GBP 1,250 for the same details.

I didn't think this was too bad as I had been quoted GBP 2,400 from Norwich Union.

You may want to try them.

I had the same result. Direct Line by far the best quote - £950 (car garaged, 10000 mile pa). I live in a low risk area as you might guess from the premium.

Some quotes were ludicrous though - I had one around £3500!!

I guess we're lucky here in the colonies. I pay $800.00 USD a year for $300,000.00 in coverage with me driving around 20,000 miles a year.
