A really enjoyable meet today helped to rejuvenate my interest in the M5 as mine has been gone for the last 3 months for a respray. With just under 10 years of ownership I have decided to carry a full restoration on a car that I can't imagine ever selling. Hopefully I'll have it ready in time for the next Goat meet!

Jeez Mike, you've really gone to town on this! It should be one of the best around when it's all done. All the best with it and please keep the thread updated with plenty of pictures.

i'd be worried if i went that far i'd never figure out how to get it back together again, and there'd be a pile of extra parts.

Replacing the dashboard on my e30 was daunting enough!

Interesting to see ground up restorations (and remanufacturing in the case of Raymond) starting on the E34 M5

Awesome work , Mike .

Remember , reassembly is rarely as simple as the reverse of removal !

I'm just a phone call away should you require any help at all !

I say, if you can't buy a NEW one! make one!!!

Obsessed? No! Passionate? YES!!!

With patience it will be wonderful.

Well back to the fifth year of my home room addition/remodel/refurbishment.
Yes, with lots of mission creep!!
Can't wait to install the 6-speed in my 91M5, all project parts on the shelf...
