M5 replicas or models?

3210 Views 7 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  Gustav
When I have some free time, which isn't often lately, I like to build models. I'd love to build a replica of my M5.

I've searched the web, but I haven't found any BMW 5-series models of any type, yet alone the E39 version.

Anyone else out there looked for or found one?

Thanks,

bmwonline.com has 1:43rd scale diecast only.

The Exoticar model company is looking into having a larger scale (1:18) built at our request. Kyosho & Burrago have both done an excellent job with the M Roadster, M Coupe, X5, E46 328 & Z8.

I'll keep you all posted.
I ordered one from the BMW UK website https://www.lifestyle.bmw.co.uk/cgi-bin/Lifestyle.storefront/1871589967/UserTemplate/5

If you look under minatures you will find the M5 1:43 for 15 UKP. I ordered over the telephone as I wanted to make sure I got the Carbon Black.
The old man who runs the toy store down the street said he can get me one.

But there's a six month waiting list, it will be produced as a 2001 model, and he wants $100 over MSRP.

Sorry, couldn't resist....

Do you get your choice of colors and do I have to have it shipped from across the US?

If your going to have fun, it might as well be alot of fun!

I have seen diecast models available on Ebay.
Thanks for the great information! I'm looking forward to hearing more about the possible Exoticar model!
