That does look like a good deal for the mileage, I would still look closely though!

I got my car driveable again, diff is done, just need to address a slight exhaust leak. Weather is looking up for a meet...

Tim , I agree weather is looking up for a meet anytime now.

I had some coilovers installed with 15mm spacers in the front now I have alot of vibration now. Im going to pull the wheels tomorrow morning but do you guys have any idea what i should be looking for that could be causing this? I had no vibration prior.

Any change in ride height? If so, the vibration could be driveshaft related...

Not sure if the spacers could cause a vibration, but doubt it.

Just ran into this discussion by browsing through the forum. So here is another M5 in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com
</st1:place><st1:City w:st="on">Rochester</st1:City>, <ST1:SNY</ST1:S. Not seen winter yet, got it from <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">North Hollywood</st1:City>, California.</st1:place>

<st1:place w:st="on"><ST1:S</ST1:S</st1:place>
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com
</st1:country-region><st1:place w:st="on">Germany</st1:place>. Bimmers, especially ///M cars I always was attached to.

<o:p></o:p>
Currently in the driveway: an e39 M5 and an e46 M3.<o:p></o:p>
Recently sold: e38 740i Sport and a e39 540i 6-Speed (Sport)
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
BTW – the guy that bought my 540i is the owner of ‘Imparts Online’ parts store in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Rochester</st1:City></st1:place>. His name is Miller. I hope you buy your parts through him because he is an awesome guy. I have been buying my parts from him for the past 10 years. He is specialized in European cars! Unbelievable pricing with overnight shipping he offers.

Link to 2 of my cars I chose to list on the cardomain.com:<o:p></o:p>

<o:p></o:p>

Did on both of the cars the timing chain guides and rails. The 540is cardomain page has detailed pictures of the job. The M5s pictures I also have but never took time to post.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Enough about me:) So how many M5s are in <st1:place w:st="on">Western NY</st1:place> do you think?<o:p></o:p>

Glad to see another has surfaced... Nice cars! It sounds as though you could be a good local source of knowledge for us "newer" enthusiasts. Other than the known board members here, I know of one other owner, and had one sighting of another car in Buffalo several months ago.

Glad to help as much as I can. Keep in mind, despite working for 20 years on cars full-time/part-time I also quite often find myself digging for answers on this and other awesome forums. The real ‘source of knowledge’ is this place that has brought us all together to share our knowledge and help each other out keeping the ‘Beast’ alive:M5thumbs:

It is on my wish list as well. Too many plans for the summer besides flying back to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com
</st1:place>Europe as well.

My suggestion would be taking our cars and racing along the way:M5launch:
Now that would be fun!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>

You got it:)
I think I saw you last weekend in the afternoon on Saturday in Henrietta. Movies 10 area. I was 2 cars behind you in a Lexus SUV. It must have been you since I don't know anyone else driving a silver DINAN M5 around.

What do you think about the M5 wheels on his e46 M3?

Hehe yea it was probably me, I think I have the ONLY Dinan M5 in Rochester as it is lol.

I love his wheels bro, definitely fit the car for sure. Im looking to replace mine for the summer, give my beast a bit of a changed look. I met up with Amirs friend who drives a black M3 and he offered me his SSR GT3's. I like those but.. I LOVE the RDSport RD2's also. Im conflicted on which I want to go with lol. So I talked to Bryan at JLevis and I might powdercoat the RD2's and go with those. Im just not sure which color to go with, any opinions?

Let me know if your thinking of selling the stock wheels... or if you know anyone with a set. I will be looking for a replacement set of wheels pretty soon. Mine need to be refinished or powder coated (they were painted), but for now I think I want the "stock" look, to give the dark body and trim some contrast.

I love the stock wheels to. They need to be refinished though due to some road rash. Its not bad at all but I cant stand imperfections lol. Mine arent the shadow chrome though.. The guy who offered me the GT3's also wants my stock wheels.

Ok guys, lets not let summer slip by. We should plan an August get together. I am trying to plan a get together in August with the bimmerforums.com crews from Buffalo and Rochester. When are you guys available? I will keep this post updated with info from the other forum regarding dates, etc.
