Just took delivery of my new 2000 M5. Ordered on January, 19th. May have set a new world record for longest time from order to delivery.

Royal Red/ Caramel- very good looking, especially in the sun.

I might have you beat if we count deposits. I first placed my deposit in April 12,1998 and took delivery January 27, 2000!

I placed my deposit in Aug'99 for a 2000 model year, delivery is said to be late Oct'00 for a 2001 model....14 months worth of waiting for me.

I admire you guys patience. I didn't think I would make it through the waiting period. Don't believe in deferred gratification.

Also got the extended leather option. Very nice. A lot of cows gave their lives for this car.
