Is now up and ready for your review. You can find it at M5 - 996TT Comparo

I decided to put it up as a web page rather than post it here directly, as it is quite long. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed the preparation to write it!

Greg,

Thanks for the comparison, you've got two
great cars. Make sure you keep them both.
I've had a black car before, told myself
I wouldn't have another unless it was a
Porsche Turbo (to much up keep).

Greg,

I bet writing the comparison wasn't nearly half as much fun as doing it... Man, you've got the best of both worlds!

Can't wait to hear about your first "roadkill" in the Turbo.

awesome comparo greg, congrats on the fine automotive stable you have...

as for the first road kill, i wonder who will be dumb enough to race greg's new beast... (however some of those Corvette forum guys have apparently laid waste to 911 TT before...
)

Well done! Detailed memoirs that an auto fan appreciates. I can almost pretend I'm driving it.

Gonna take off the badges and the rear wing?

Mattar -

The answer to your question is actually easy for me. I would keep the M5. Both cars have so much performance its hard to use it on the street. But the M5 does so many more things well, and it doesn't stick out. I find myself worrying about tickets, door dings, and having to avoid curious drivers more in the Porsche.

But as long as I can keep both, I get to enjoy driving the Porsche when I can.

Greg,

Real cool comparison... thanks for making the rest of us (who don't own two of the world's finest automobiles!!) very jealous. In all seriousness, great write up. I am very happy for you. I hope to join you in this prestigious club some day soon?!

Great article! You should do this on the side
Send it to one of the popular car mags. Felt like I was driving while reading.
