I will never understand trying to M badge a non-M car. Do people really think they are fooling others? :confused3 They are just fooling themselves.IWantOne said:I think it's truly amazing how many people think that every BMW with an M-badge has a powerful engine under the hood...
Selling ///M badges should be prohibited to people who want to stick it on their 318 diesel (nothing against diesel though I adore the d3)
If you have it, don´t flaunt it - floor it!Ashok Arora said:If you have it you don't need to flaunt it - much better to have a 520d badge on an M5 :M5thumbs:
Haha, I'm trying to imagine the look on the dude's face. In my imagination, it looks hilariously funnyPete said:Only once did I see a 5 series at the gas station when I pulled in. Of course I looked and it said M5 on the trunk lid. I casually metioned that he lost half his exhaust system someplace, and I got the finger for my acute diagnostic skills.

No. Fakes are fine with me.stumbo said:Weird.
Am I the only person that almost doesn't care about the fakes out there ?
Considering many of us claim to be partially drawn to the M5 by its kind of Q car looks I find it odd that there are not more people of the opinion that these fakes increase the perceived quantity and lead to an increase in the Q element, thus help us to be not noticed.
And of course increasing the public ignorance , increases the impact when you show its real on the road.
How much are you paying to witness that?Jutty said:I'd have paid money to witness that 'half your exhaust fell off' statement... I wonder how he felt driving off...ouich
