As the title states, I am on the verge on ordering a supercharger kit for my M6, however I though to see if there are any kits that someone wants to get rid of first before pulling the trigger. I know people don't usually sell their kits however I am sure there are scenarios where they want to upgrade the M6 and makes more sense in selling their kits.
I know this post was a while ago but I have my supercharger setup. I made 755whp with it and that was on stock internals. Its NOT a ESS Kit. Its the full kit on which is crafted by Gintani and the supercharger is a Vortec. If interested in the full setup which includes the methanol injection kit and gauges, send me a PM and I will work with you on a price.
I’m looking to buy a supercharger for my 2006 bmw m5 is anyone here selling it can point me to a right direction for one but at a good price thanks in advance
Would it be a bad idea to supercharge an M5 with higher milage?? My M5 has 105k..all preventative maintenance is done.. probably couldn’t afford it until 110k-115k miles.. given I drive it.. which I will.
it's a great idea. i sc'd mine at around 110k miles or so. it's over 140k now. i dd mine. no issues. with sc, she'll have way more midrange torque, so i usually shift around 2k rpm around town. and even when you WOT, you can't WOT for too long because you'll be doubling/tripling the speed limit in a few seconds. there's really no downside.
i forget the actual cost. i would just get the new one unless you're getting one for like less than 3k. i had to make 2-3 trips back to the shop which isn't far from me to get some stuff replaced and ask them lots of questions along the way.
