Location & color of fuel pump relay

Just fixed mine a week ago. Not sure what the one in the ECU box does, but I replaced it anyway. I also replaced the 2 light green in the trunk. One is for the DSP and one is for the fuel pump. I believe the one nearest the dark green is the fuel pump relay. If you pull the one next to the black, then the DSP should be grayed out on the NAV screen and no sound to your radio. Check this with your car as I may have these reversed. I have a 2000.

Also, the black unit is also related to the fuel system, called the EKP module.

After I replaced the relays, I didn't have a starting problem anymore.

Good luck.

Maybe a good idea to replace the other light green relay in the ecu box. I think that's the one behind the glove box.
I also remember that even though the motor still ran with the relay pulled, it took a while to restart. My guess is the there was still fuel in the line. If I left it out long enough, it would have stalled as it did on the road.

The Nav screen will stay lit up, but the "DSP" will be grayed out. The sound should also be absent. Also try to give that 10-15 seconds delay while in key position #2 (dash lit up and "ding, ding"). Did you replace the green relay in the ECU box? I'm not sure what that one is for.
