good day to all

we have been busy finishing off final development of the new supercharger system we are releasing for the E39 M5, and have taken some more videos and a dyno run.

You can see the full details of this kit here : http://www.caauto.reflex-hosting.net/products-Y2FyX21ha2U9Ym13JmNhcl90eXBlPWUzOW0mY2F0X2lkPTM5JmNvbXBfaWQ9OA==.html

and also here http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=110418

Our demo car will be in the UK for sure end of May, available for interested parties to try out.

In standard form our car prodcuced 384 bhp at flywheel on the same dyno, so after supercharging we are looking at an increase of +107, which falls nicely in the middle of our estimate of +100 to +120 bhp for this system. Apart from the charger kit and Eisenmann rear exhaust the rest of the engine is factory standard, no decats etc.

We stopped the dyno runs short as the intake temps on a conversion like this rise quickly, and a dyno fan can never replicate real world air flow as we always say, so actual road driving would increase the bottom line bhp figure by perhaps another 10 bhp or so.

The M5 engine in standard form cannot safely cope with more than about 550 bhp, which is why we have limited the possible power output, to allow a sensible safety margin and for customers who's cars may be fitted with headers, racing cats.

The nice thing about these centrifugal s/c set ups is that the S62 stays nice and torquey down low, while the boost kicks in up high to give extra pulling power to redline. Great combo.

I've already got a s/c'd gal... love it. It is the THE way to update the beast. The e39 M5 is a great platform for s/c'ing. C'mon guys... join the club!

wilsodh, dont you have one thats NOT S/C'd as well? Nothing quite like dual S/Cs in the garage... hehe

Oh I hope I can find a job that pays enough for me to stash away enough $ to do an upgrade like this! Any chance of a 72 month payment plan? :D
Can you guys note the pre and post ft/tq measurements as well?
Matt

hi guys

we have actually raced couple times against the E60 M5 ...at worst they were neck and neck. Given enough road the e39 will pull away slightly, given it's greater spread of torque and lighter weight.

thank you

I hope some guys are checking this out. Looks like a good value that will keep the beast relevant in todays horsepower wars.

BTW-- does the set-up retain MAFs control?
