Greetings everybody,

As this is my very first post, I would like to say hi to everyone, and let you all know that it is great to be here. :byebye:

I was wondering if anybody has any information, as to how many vehicles Koenigsegg have sold in 2010?
If so, was it an improvement over the sales figures of 2009?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks.
Nick

This Agera R at Geneva is example 82 or 83 I beleive and currently they work on example 85. Passed by far MClaren F1 but still is Bugatti ahead with almost close to 250-300 examples sold and ordered (40 Bugatti Veyon Supersport, 40 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport and 180 regular Veyrons I beleive).

Thanks for the response, Gustav.

So, my understanding is that ~15 vehicles were sold this past year, is my understanding correct?

Really hope that the sales figures get to increase this year.

Afterall, the more profit they make, the more resources there will be for Christian von K. to keep developing brilliant Koenigsegg models in the future... :cool2:

As far as I know Bugatti sold no less than 220 regular Veyrons, according to an official statement from 2008 I think.

A bit unfair though to compare it to Koenigsegg, much different resources. I wonder how many Veyrons would have been sold given the same quality and specs, but without the Bugatti brand and VAG commitment/money.

Sales / Chassinumber?

If you read the registry youll see that there isnt almost any cars with chassinumbers indicating that they are manufactured during 2010?

You are correct that so far we have only identified one Koenigsegg with a 2010 VIN: #078. It takes a long time to build these cars. Since the original Agera (#077) debuted at Geneva in March 2010, we have seen another nearly duplicate Agera to the debut car (#079), a red Agera R (#080), the 2011 Geneva Agera (#081), and the white Agera R (#083). To have the last two ready by Geneva this year, construction on them must have started in 2010. And #082 is still unaccounted for. Add to that the few 2009's that were finished up in 2010, as well as the considerable development time that has been devoted to the Agera.

So I think you will agree that Koenigsegg was quite busy in 2010!

It is great to see the Ageras coming out at such a rapid pace now (relatively speaking, of course!). Hopefully the first U.S.-spec Agera will appear soon as well. Can't wait!

Sales

Busy off course but my guess is that the salesfigures during 2010 was as low as 3 cars. The number 77 was a developmentcar and not for sale. It debuted in Mars 2010. The white Agera R was still under assembly in mars 2011 and is therefor a 2011 sale.
81 - 78 = 3 cars. If you the subtract the 79 and 80 who i think was delivered just after new year 2011 youre down to 1 cars. How many of the 2009 Vin cars that were sold during 2010 is only a guess but a fact is that we first saw 78 in Maj 2010 and 79 not until jan 2011. Another fact is that the turquise CCXR should be the last delivery of 2009 ( december 2009 ). Add the 75 and 76 wich i think was delivered during 2010 and should be counted as 2010 cars you are now up to a total of three customer cars delivered during 2010.

73 The turquise CCXR Delivered 2009
74 The only info we have is that it is a 2009 car according to the sales agent
75 Trevita, PROBOBLY a 2010 delivered car
76 Platinuss CCXR, a 2010 delivered car.
77 --Prototype--
78 Turkish CCX ( Last one?? ) a 2010 delivered car
79 Grey Agera, for sale at Semco Germany, most likely a 2011 delivery ( or late december 2010?)
80 Agera R, red, delivered januari 2011 ( is this or the white one the first production R? CvK says its the white one??)
81 Agera, a 2011 delivered car ( displayed at the geneva salon )
82 -- No info but should be exciting! --
83 Agera R, white, a 2011 delivered car.

as soon as Koenigsegg releases its financial reports for 2010 it should be more easy to figure out.
The turn over for 2008 and 2009 is quite similar of 103,7 and 105,7 million SEK. If i´m close to correct the figures should be down to about 18 mSEK, wich isnt likely...

However Koenigsegg have more of additional growing business as well as consulting (similarto Porsche Consulting), upgradepackages such as CCR Edition, sequential shifter conversions and Custom Vision upgrades. To that add servicing of the cars whichmust bring in more and more money every year.
