Hey guys,

Here's the deal. My car has been sitting at my Dad's house for about a month, and when he tried to open it up today, nothing happened. According to him, he can't get the car to do anything with the key, including opening the door manually. At first, I just figured it was the car battery or key battery gone bad, but I thought you could still open the door manually with a dead key or dead car. Was I wrong? Is there any other reason why the key can't open the door manually?

Thanks in advance!

Another option is to just unlock the trunk with the key and put a battery charger on the car if the trunk lights do not come on.

This may require removing the top access to the battery?

Then you may be able to use the keyfob to open the drivers door?
