If you have good tires, the DSC won't be much of an issue. For me the original dunlops lit the light much more than my current michelin ps2s. I've found the M5 fairly easy to power-oversteer such that I much prefer keeping the dsc on most of the time. Its also easy to just wag the tail into the next lane during moderate acceleration. During my 1st M5 summer when i turned it off frequently, there were some scary moments that could have been prevented.. its easy enough to quickly shut off for certain situations.
