:cheers: Hi all, another newbie here, though I have been reading the threads for some time now learning as much about the car as I can. Well last evening I picked up my M5 (2000 model Silverstone blue with Nappa Leather & Satnav) and all I can say is WOW - what a car. Just hope it stays reliable, however the car is still under BMW extended warranty so I just hope that covers most things. Can't wait to leave work tonight & get home and just drive.........
I have got one question so far though - does the driver's side mirror dip automatically (like the interior mirror), as it seems to on mine ?
Hope someone can help, will keep reading the threads in the meantime;

Regards,
Steve

Yes, it dips when putting in revers. to avoid curbs when reversing. That is a feature from the E32 7-series when I assume it was introduced.

Welcome aboard Steve & congrats. Hope to see you at one of our meets.

You can switch off the side mirror dipping using the left/right switch above the window lift controls.
