I have a titanium/black interior in my 2000 M5. The titanium is a brushed style finish and in certain areas the surface has chipped and peeled leaving a shiny surface. It's a fairly minor cosmetic problem but it bothers me - one main problem area is the center console ashtray lid. I suppose I could just replace the ashtray lid but was wondering if anyone had suggestions about fixing this?

Can you just buy the ashtray lid? I have the same problem. Does anyone have the part number for the ashtray lid in brushed titanium? (It's a nightmare tryin to get the part numbers at the dealer here).

Thanks!

Don't think you can get the ash tray lid by itself. At least that's what Crevier BMW parts dept told me when I upgraded my interior. They said you had to get the whole center console overlay - which goes for a bit over $300.
