Hi guys. Its been awhile since I've been here (and almost a year since the beast has been gone - time flies). Anyhow, I was talking with Alan at Kinesis Motorsport about the F110 wheel they have out - Pcar and E46 right now. Its a forged monoblock that weighs in at 18-19lbs per rim. I asked him why there was not an E39 fitment and he said that there could be if there was enough interest to warrant a production run. So, after getting approval from Gustav, I am here asking how many would be SERIOUSLY interested in getting in on a set. Before making a production run, Alan would want a comittment on at least 5 sets. The rear would be an 19x10 27mm offset. The front would depend on general consensus. For more details, click here
http://www.kinesismotorsport.com/f110.htm

The rims on an E46.
Please post below if you are interested. There will be more to come, should the need arise.

Not interested in 18s, but for 19s, what's the weight for 19x9 and 19x10 ?
yep, possibly in for 19's depending on costs/weight issues. Could you find out if they can clear BBK, in particular the Brembo 8piston caliper with 380mm disc.

thanks

Welcome back, Dave! Good to hear from you once again. Those F110s sure are sharp, and I would imagine a stellar option against the Dinan forged one-piece jobs...

I still gots my K-58's and remain pleased as punch with them. The one big benefit that I've experienced with the three-piece design is the ability to replace a single half when they get banged up. About two years ago, following a pretty hefty collision, I had four halves replaced (two inners and two outers), the remaining two outers repolished, and all four centers polished (to remove the original black painted finish) for less than the retail cost of replacing one wheel. They continue to look great, but I probably have a half or two that's been pothole abused, so it's likely time for a refurb... [Delayed admission: I also subjected one to the first curb rash in 5 years and 77K miles of spirited driving. That hurt!]

For any of ya'll considering these F-110s, I must say Dave was one of those boardmembers that was a pleasure to work with. Thumbs up!

This would be a great alternative for the Dinan rims I am considering this spring, if they are quality wheels and the price is right. I would be interested in a full set of 18" rims if they can accomodate the Dinan / Brembo brake kit.
Thank you in advance for your efforts.

Re: If Kinesis builds it...would you come????

Sorry, I guess I should have been a bit more clear. These will be offered in either 19x8.5 or 19x9 F and 19x10 rear. They dont offer any 18s, currently in this rim, and I doubt they will. The 19x8.5s weigh 18lbs and the 19x10s weigh 19lbs. Clearly, these are marketed at those who are looking for something extremely light (track whore?) and strong (forged rims are much stronger than cast). A setup for E46M3 lists for a hair over $5k. We will discuss pricing after we determine there is enough interest, we become a sponsor, and we announce the actual special. For now, just seeing if there is even any interest. Thanks and, Dave, we'll be at RA 3/19-20.

Just talked to Alan again.
Yes, BBK will not be a problem.
19"s only, no 18"s.
E46 Setup lists for around $5k. We will address pricing, should there be enough interest to warrant them making the rim for our fitment.

The more committed, the better price? I think that would be fair?

Re: If Kinesis builds it...would you come????

i fail to see the point in spending this kind of money on wheels and ending up with 245s on the front -- need at 9 or 9 1/2 rims on front for 275s

these are nice looking wheels, but i'm very happy with my Dinans

I'd be interested in 19X9 F and 19x10 R for the right price.

Ok, so the general consensus thus far would be for a 19x9 and 19x10 setup?
List on a setup like that would be $5094.
Production would require at least 5 sets pre-ordered.
The savings would be worthwhile for those involved, should this become an order, expecially considering the fact that Kinesis does NOT discount this rim.
With that said, for those who are seriously interested, please email me for more info.

Also note, should this turn into a GB, we will become a sponsor, per my conversation with Gustav.
Thanks, all.

Running K5s on my 930.
Running K28s on my 993tt.
Most definitely will get the F110 for my Beast when available.
If Alan could just confirm details like sizing/offsets and BBK fitment.

Re: Great picture

Just got off the phone with Alan.
1- Yes, BBk friendly is mandatory.
2- F will be 19x9, offset to be determined, but most likely in the 15mm range
3- R 19x10 27mm
