Today I recieved my ECU back from ESS and installed it this evening!

Drove the car around 5 miles and first impression throttle response was improved immensly plus the car accelerated much harder out of 1st 2nd and 3rd. I can now shift at 8400rpm, however at that RPM the car shifts more aggressively as my GF said her lungs collapsed! :hihi:

Car is going in the shop tomm to fix one of my rims plus get alligned, balanced and front splitter put on before the Vegas run.. So not enough time to put some miles on it before the trip.

Mike advised I need to put at least 400 miles on the car before I feel a big difference and 1000 miles for optimal performance. After this weekend I will let you all know the full update except for the people who I will see in vegas you will probably ask me about it first! haha

Congratualtions on your CU as it sounds that the butt meter is quiet positive. But i was wondering if they work on ECU's coming from non US M5's.

Also let us know how it goes after 1000 miles...

I did not pre dyno the car however next week I will put it on a dyno before I install the headers.

When I put my foot on the gas there is no delay of power and runs very strong through every gear up to 5th at 8000rpm where I had to slow down due to traffic. hehe

Installed ESS software last week on my E60 and after the Vegas Run I put around 700-miles on my car and it’s finally came alive.
I currently have the following engine mods on my car: ESS Software, Evosport Pully, AA full exhaust Secondary Cat and resonator deleted, RPI intake and BMC Filters. <O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p
Every engine Mod gives you a little more performance but honestly to me I really didn’t feel any significant difference until I installed the ESS software. ESS has enhanced all my modification on my car and they are working to the maxim potential finally!<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p
Throttle response is significantly increased but that’s with most software upgrades increasing drivability. However the bottom end torque now is unbelievable feels like I just added another 50pounds of torque. Every gear pulls harder than ever feels like a totally different Machine. The car redlining at a higher RPM is also good now since I sometimes missed the shift point and hit the governor.
<O:p</O:p
Even my GF noticed the performance difference in the car driving back from Vegas since I was exhausted I woke up to her racing another M5. I told her to pull up next to him and race head to head we started around 80mph and by 130mph she was 6 car lengths ahead unbelievable!
<O:p</O:p
I was going to install headers this week, but now I’m reconsidering since my car is running like a champ don’t want to ruin the chemistry!!<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p
For anybody thinking of upgrading the software ESS is my pick all the way!!
<O:p</O:p
Thanks Mike!
