Hi,

Does anybody have information on the NEW ALPINA B6?

There are rumours that I've heard from various sources, however I just need to confirm this with M5board people.<O:p</O:p

My Brother (another BMW Nut) disagrees with me; I just need something to "Shut" him up!!<O:p</O:p

Thanks

Re: CAN YOU HELP!! ALPINA B6 2005/06

Hi,

Could you tell me the Following information:

Projected Build/Release date of the ALPINA
Is it too early to find out the Spec of the car?
Also, any Performance figures.

Thanks

Odd thought I had replied to this !

The date original talked about was June 2006

It should have the same 4.4ltr supercharged engine as the B7 and B5.

There was some mention of aitflow issue - but I'll bet these will sorted - so 493bhp and 516lb ft (700 Nm) - 0-60mph 4.7secs 0-100mph 9.5secs

Yes, it's too early to know the spec of the car - they only just sorted out the UK spec for the E60 B5 a couple of months ago and for the E61 about 6 weeks ago - the UK spec for those cars is very different from the German spec.

Fundamentally, it'll be the same vs. a 650Ci as the B5 is vs. a 550i, give or take a few details.

I would have thought that Alpinas make fairly rubbish cars for brokers, as they have fairly short waiting lists and part of the joy of buying one is to work directly with the factory (and via the official dealer) to sort out a bespoke spec...

Still, I suppose with the waiting list for the M5 and M6 so ridiculously long, are you making some money by shifting people into Alpinas?
