It's a great unit. The avic-n2 is even better, however, you have the option for an on screen speedo, acceleration readings, angular velocity, etc.
It required a couple of spacer rings to keep the deck flush, but it is pretty **** snug to get it in there. We found we could tuck most of the harnesses to the left, and we mounted the brain unit under the drivers seat.
If anyone is doing the same thing, we were troubleshooting basically the whole install, so feel free to ask any questions and I MAY have the answer!
What's everyone think???
It is a retractable screen which fits the single DIN slot. I'll take a pic of the screen closed. The spacers we used to snug it up with the lip of the slot are I believe 3 for $10 canadian, so they're relatively cheap. If you were to use a screen which is not in-dash, you could certainly place it in front of the gear shift. I'd find this a bit low for viewing however personally.[email protected]
looks nice but the space where you parked your 'cell-phone' was NOT an
option ?? why not ??
how much is the 'budget' for the 'hardware' and the fitting ??

You can still get to the fog light switch, and if you were to choose one of these with the tilt adjustment, you just adjust the screen at an angle you are comfortable viewing, as well as reaching behind it. The screen doesnt actually rest on the switch as I have it angled more straight than I do have it angled towards the windshield.Looks good.
I was put off installing one of these due to obscurring the fog lights
How bad is this ?
Can you still get at them ?
Still looks like a nice install
