Now that spring has reached my part of the world, the garage will replace the Michelin Alpin shod winter wheels with their summer equivalents latter on today.

I grabbed a couple of very quick shots on the way home from work last night.

These have been on since November.

It'll be good to have the 19's back on.

184m Winter set up

Hi , as proud new owner of an E61 M5 touring I am looking at a winter wheel set up using the OEM suggested parts .
How different was the handling on day to day driving with the winter tyres ?
I can either tough it out (!) on the Pilots and avoid snowy or icy drives but want to use the car every day .
The eye watering OEM price ( £602 per corner ) is making this decision a tough one .
And yes we do get snow - last year we had 6 inches .
